Geoff Pickard

Managing Director

Geoff commenced his career as an Apprentice Boilermaker with McColl Fabrications in Cardiff, NSW. He completed his formal training, graduating with honours in 1979. Geoff has since successfully completed his Structural Engineering Certificate and a range of other courses including Estimating for Fabrication and Constructions, Welding of Stainless Steel, Welding of Pressure Vessels, Welding of Aluminium, Welding of Cast Iron and Tig and Mig Welding Certificates.

As a Tradesman, Estimator and Manager for D & S Fabrications in Tomago for 15 years, Geoff gained valuable experience in a broad variety of work including preventative maintenance, breakdown work and many other major projects.

With the commencement of his own company, SMB Engineering & Constructions, in 1996 Geoff brought with him a variety of qualifications and extensive experience that would ensure that SMB Engineering & Constructions would become a leading provider in the structural, mechanical and building industries.
